Visitation FAQs
Skaalen currently offers window visits, virtual visits, and in-person visits. While window visits and virtual visits are highly encouraged, as they are the safest option, we understand the importance of physically seeing and talking in person. Therefore, we now have in-person visits to accommodate this need. In-person visits are subject to be outside or inside depending on the facilities’ discretion. These visits have specific guidelines and practices that must be adhered to in order to make them possible.
**Please note that in-person visitation is dependent on Dane County’s positivity rate and Skaalen’s COVID-19 status. If either of these does not meet the necessary requirements, indoor visits will have to be canceled.
Yes, based on the type of visitation depends on the hours available. For now, all types of visits must be scheduled and should be done so at least 24 hours in advance. Appointment times are available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, at this time we ask that you schedule only one in-person visit per week.
- Window visits and virtual visits can be scheduled Monday through Friday 9:00 AM. to 4:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- In-person visits are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM. For the time being, there will be a scheduled start and end times. Accommodations for visitation may be available for after-hours and on the weekends. Please call to find out more.
