Skaalen Greeter

Located at the main entrance lobby. Volunteers will greet visitors at the main entrance and usher them to the conference room near the reception desk for screening and to have their temperature taken. Each visitor will be given a face mask and safety glasses to wear while they are in the building. Once the visitor has completed the screening and is signed in, the volunteer will escort them to the resident’s room or out to the front courtyard for their visit. All screening paperwork is given to the Receptionist. At the conclusion of the visit, the volunteer will distribute post-visit information and escort the visitor to the main entrance where they will drop off their safety glasses and dispose of their face mask. Once the visitor has left the building the volunteer will notify Skaalen Staff who are responsible for cleaning/sanitizing the visiting area. Volunteers will also admit Volunteers, Agency Staff, Hospice Staff, and any deliveries that come to the main entrance during their volunteer shift.

Volunteers will be required to follow Skaalen’s infection control policies/procedures, be screened upon arrival, and wear a face mask and safety glasses or face shield while on duty. Volunteers who are not fully vaccinated will be required to be tested monthly for COVID-19. Volunteers who are fully vaccinated will not have to be tested monthly however, will be asked to present a copy of their vaccination card including the vaccination received and dates received. Volunteers experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or other illnesses, will be expected to cancel their volunteer duties until symptoms have cleared and the Skaalen Infection Control Preventionist has cleared them to return. Volunteers are asked not to stop and visit with residents while on duty.
